Opioid abuse often begins with prescription painkillers. To warn people about opioid prescriptions, we disguised PSAs as pharma ads. By borrowing the tired format used by so many medications, we highlighted how something as boring and seemingly harmless as a pharma ad — or an opioid prescription — could take a dark turn, spiraling out of control into a tragic ending. This campaign was featured at Cannes 2k18.
